Bosnia and Herzegovina international Aleksandar Kosorić has joined Maltese side Balzan until the end of the season.

The defender left 2017 Latvian Virslīga winners FK Spartaks Jūrmala in November 2018 after making 37 league appearances for the club.

Kosorić started his career in his homeland with FK Slavija Sarajevo, winning the Republika Srpska Cup during the 2005–06 and 2007–08 seasons.

In January 2009, the 31-year-old signed for Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade. Kosorić had a successful spell with the club, picking up a winners medal in the Serbian Cup before winning the 2008/09 Serbian SuperLiga.

After just a year with Partizan the defender switched alliance to neighbouring Belgrade side, Fudbalski klub Rad.

Following Kosorić’s return to Bosnia with FK Željezničar Sarajevo in 2014, the defender was named team captain and also called up to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

However, the 31-year-old didn’t make his Bosnia and Herzegovina debut until 2016 in the final of the Kirin Cup vs Japan.
