Mario Fontanella is confident that he will become a Maltese Premier League Champion as the side face Hamrun Spartans in the last game of the season on Friday.
The Italian is currently the league’s top scorer with 16 goals to his name, he previously picked up the 2015/16 Top Scorer award during his time with Floriana.
Valletta are currently two points clear at the top of the Maltese Premier League following Hibernians’ 2-0 win over Senglea Athletics yesterday.
“Everything will be decided on the last day of the season, it will be an electrifying season finale and I am confident that everything will work out for the best,” explained Fontanella.
“I have scored 16 goals in the league, one goal in the Europa League, one goal in the Super Cup Final and two goals in the FA Trophy.
“That’s a total of 20 goals without taking penalties, I am proud of my performances and I have also made 12 assists.
“I am confident that I can do even better in the game against Hamrun.”
